Sci-Fi Series ”We Come in Peace”
Chaos breaks out when a mysterious jellyfish-like object appears in the skies above Stockholm. What is this object in the sky? Are we dealing with extraterrestrial beings, and what do they want? These are the questions explored in TV4 Drama’s upcoming sci-fi series We Come in Peace. Filming is underway for this star-studded sci-fi drama, featuring Evin Ahmad and Fares Fares in two of the leading roles.
Are we alone in the universe, or does other life exist in space? If so, what kind of beings are they? What do they want from us, if anything at all? We Come in Peace places viewers at the heart of the action as humanity experiences its first confirmed encounter with extraterrestrial life.
The situation sends shockwaves through the government and deeply unsettles Elias (Fares Fares), the head of the Civil Defense Authority, who must coordinate Sweden’s response under the scrutiny of the global community. Meanwhile, scientist Zandra (Evin Ahmad) notices that the object hovering over Stockholm resembles the peculiar fungi she previously discovered in a sewer. Zandra returns there to find a misspelled but clear message: “We come in peace.”
“I always enjoy being part of projects that dare to be different and push boundaries at a time when much can feel uninspired. It’s exciting that TV4 is investing in grounded sci-fi with a story that’s more relevant than you might think,” says Evin Ahmad.
“It’s incredibly exciting and thrilling to work on a Swedish sci-fi series. It’s something that stands out and feels very bold,” adds Fares Fares.
Lars Lundström (Real Humans, Tusenbröder) is the series creator and writer. Jens Jonsson (Jägarna, Blinded, The Doctrine) is the conceptual director, working alongside director Mani Maserrat-Agah.

The executive producers for TV4 are Lisa Dahlberg and Lucy ter Berg, while Piodor Gustafsson serves as the producer for Spark Film & TV. Co-producers include TV4, ZDF, Spark Film & TV, Dansu, Beside, Snyggfin, Big Light, and Infinite Entertainment. The international distributor is Newen Connect, a subsidiary of the TF1 Group.
We Come in Peace is scheduled to air in late 2025.
